This exquisite, hand turned ballpoint pen is truly exceptional. Made from gorgeous Hairy Oak, this Cameron Pen is just beautiful. One of our most popular designs, the Cameron Pen comes in a range of colours and features a range of pen bands, including Australiana and triple ringed. Featuring a poignant and respectful Poppy clip, these pens are incredibly popular and sell like hotcakes.
As each of our pens are custom made from a range of stunning timbers, each piece is genuinely one of a kind. Hairy-oak grows in small groves or scattered amongst Black-oaks on sandy or poor ground. The timber is hard and splits easily – very easily! It is difficult to dry in large pieces without serious checking but cut into boards it can be reasonably stable. The medullary rays are very obvious, sometimes blatantly, giving it a striking appearance. Though difficult to work, the effort is worth the result. Hairy Oak cleans up beautifully and gives a wonderfully varied finish.
