The phoenix is a sacred firebird said to have beautiful feathers of gold and red. Its story has roots in many ancient civilizations- most notably the Egyptian and Greek. After 1,000 years the phoenix builds itself a nest of twigs, which then burns fiercely until they are both, reduced to ashes. From the ashes a young phoenix appears, renewing the life cycle of the bird and making the phoenix virtually immortal and invincible. This pen captures the story in detail, from the flames bursting at the tip, to the rising phoenix; it’s tail rendered in the clip. Amber crystals on the clip and cap add to the majesty of this regal creature. Not only is this pen gorgeous in its own right, it’s also the perfect gift for people who love the magical stories of Harry Potter.
As each of our pens are custom made from a range of stunning timbers, each piece is genuinely one of a kind. Yucatan Rosewood is found in South and Central America. Typically a cinnamon brown, heartwood color can be highly variable, ranging from a light brown to a deep, russet brown. Grain tends to be somewhat bland, but darker streaks or swirled grain is occasionally present. Sharply demarcated sapwood is pale yellow. Overall appearance is very similar to Honduran Rosewood. Typically used for turned objects, musical instruments, furniture, and small specialty wood objects, our Yucatan Rosewood supplies are sourced sustainably.
Beautifully presented in a deluxe leather pen case, our hand crafted pieces are built to last and make individual, meaningful gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, events or that special someone. You could even consider this beautifully crafted pen for your next ‘thank you’ gift or as a gorgeous keepsake for special events.
