The opulence and grandeur of the Victorian Era lives on in this extravagant, elaborately designed and absolutely striking pen. Inspired by European Baroque style, the Elizabeth blends intricately cast decorative motifs including scrolling foliage, garlands and flowers. The band features a stylised leaf design further showcasing inspiration from the natural world. The finished pen is hefty and provides a substantial writing feel. The Elizabeth is a solid and beautiful nod to the past.
As each of our pens are custom made from a range of stunning timbers, each piece is genuinely one of a kind. Originating and distributed primarily in equatorial Africa, is a gorgeous African hardwood that is a pleasure to turn. Bubinga heartwood ranges from a pinkish red to a darker reddish brown with darker purple or black streaks. The sapwood is a pale straw color and is clearly demarcated from the heartwood. An immensely popular imported African hardwood, Bubinga may be loved as much for its quirky name as it is for its strength and beauty. Also sometimes called Kevazingo, usually in reference to its decorative rotary-cut veneer. Bubinga has a close resemblance to Rosewood, and is often use in place of more expensive woods. Yet Bubinga also features a host of stunning grain figures, such as flamed, pommele, and waterfall, which make this wood truly unique. Bubinga also has an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. All of our Bubinga pieces are sourced sustainably and from respected sources.
Beautifully presented in a deluxe leather pen case, our hand crafted pieces are built to last and make individual, meaningful gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, events or that special someone. You could even consider this beautifully crafted pen for your next ‘thank you’ gift or as a gorgeous keepsake for special events.
