The Eleanor Gearshift pen is an ideal gift for any car enthusiast. The mechanism design is based off a five-speed H pattern shifter and can be shifted just like the real thing! The Eleanor is authentic from top to bottom. The cap features a car tire with a true to life tread and hubcap and the tip features the same tire tread as the cap. The shifter handle includes an etched five-speed pattern and the industrialized crowbar clip attached to the body with two small screws rounds out the design. Finished in gorgeous African Ebony, what more could you want?
As each of our pens are custom made from a range of stunning timbers, each piece is genuinely one of a kind. The heartwood of the very rare Black Ebony is jet black and deeply reflective. Not commonly available, Black Ebony is very expensive, on par with Black and White species of ebony. This timber is used for turned objects, inlay, and other small wood projects and can be very difficult to source sustainably. It’s not often that offcuts of this gorgeous timber become available.
