This pen captures the romance and adventure of old sailing ships. Throughout history sailing has been instrumental in the development of civilization, affording mobility for trade, transport, warfare, and fishing, though it’s greatest contribution has been to the many great explorations in the world. It has a captivating scene engraved on tip of a grand tall ship, while the end is embellished with the captain’s wheel and compass. Nautical rope accents can be found throughout and encircling the detailed Anchor clip, which given its history, is considered a symbol of well-grounded hope. Created in beautiful and solid Queensland Rosewood, this Clifford Pen is perfect for water babies, sailing enthusiasts and Navy personnel.
As each of our pens are custom made from a range of stunning timbers, each piece is genuinely one of a kind. Rosewood comes from Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, the Solomon Islands, South-East Asia and Queensland. The grain is wavy, interlocked or crossed and the texture is moderately fine and uneven. The timber has a characteristic fragrant odour and is used in furniture, high class joinery and musical instruments, allowing for plenty of sustainable repurposing. Queensland Rosewood is darker in appearance than its botanical cousins, providing a beautiful lustre and shine to everything that we turn in it.
Beautifully presented in a deluxe leather pen case, our hand crafted pieces are built to last and make individual, meaningful gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, events or that special someone. You could even consider this beautifully crafted pen for your next ‘thank you’ gift or as a gorgeous keepsake for special events.
