This exquisite, hand turned ballpoint pen is truly exceptional. Made from beautiful Raspberry Jam timber, this Benjamin Pen is just gorgeous. One of our most versatile designs, the Benjamin Pen comes in a range of colours that can be customised to preferences.
As each of our pens are custom made from a range of stunning timbers, each piece is genuinely one of a kind. Raspberry jam is generally a small tree 10m tall, but is commonly also a bushy shrub 3 to 5m tall with a short main stem and numerous spreading branches. It occurs from Kalbarri to the South Coast and is common in the Wheatbelt area. The best Raspberry Jam development is in low woodland and tall shrubland associated with York gum and salmon gum, with mallee species, or with wandoo in south-westerly areas of the Wheatbelt. The heartwood is dark-reddish brown and is very hard. The grain is attractive with fiddleback a common feature. The freshly-cut timber has a sweet smell similar to raspberry jam, hence the common name.
