As each of our pens are custom made from a range of stunning timbers, each piece is genuinely one of a kind. Red Palmwood comes from the Coconut Tree. It has gorgeous reddish brown fibers embedded in a lighter tan or light brown colored body. The fibers are more densely packed toward the outside of the tree trunk, becoming more and more sparse toward the centre of the tree. Red Palmwood is used for flooring, canoes, rafts, walking sticks, knife and tool handles, carvings, rafters, furniture and turned objects. Outside of the woodworking community, Red Palmwood is known as Coconut Palm, where it is cultivated and grown throughout the tropics worldwide for its fruit. Nearly every part of the tree is said to have a use or value, and older trees are typically only harvested for wood after they have passed their time of fruit-bearing—usually after 50-70 years. Our pieces are sourced sustainably from such trees.
Beautifully presented in a deluxe leather pen case, our hand crafted pieces are built to last and make individual, meaningful gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, events or that special someone. You could even consider this beautifully crafted pen for your next ‘thank you’ gift or as a gorgeous keepsake for special events.
