This gorgeous, hand turned clear Swarovski crystal Rachel Pen is truly unique: no two are the same. This pen is truly stunning, and is a gorgeous gift for women with a love of all things pretty.
As each of our pens are custom made from a range of stunning timbers, each piece is genuinely one of a kind. African Makore timber is simply gorgeous. It has a heartwood of pink or reddish brown, sometimes with streaks of mild colour variation. The yellowish sapwood can be two to three inches wide and figured grain patterns (such as mottled or curly) are a common occurrence.African Makore is used as veneer, plywood, furniture, cabinetry, flooring, boatbuilding, musical instruments, turned objects, and other small wooden specialty items. This wood species is not listed in the CITES Appendices but is on the IUCN Red List. It is listed as endangered due to a population reduction of over 50% in the past three generations, caused by a decline in its natural range and exploitation. This makes it particularly important that our timber is sourced sustainably. All of our African Makore pieces are made from timber offcuts from reputable building companies.
