This exquisite, hand turned Bailey Pocket Torch is stylish, functional and solid. It is the perfect size to fit almost any pocket and comes equipped with a, exquisite pen clip to for secure storage. These lights are perfect for doctors, tradespeople, storepersons or anyone wanting to keep a torch handy.
As each of our pens are custom made from a range of stunning timbers, each piece is genuinely one of a kind. African Wenge is grown in Cameroon, the Congo, Gabon, Mozambique, Tanzania and Zaire. The heartwood is a very dark brown with black streaks. Upon application of a wood finish (particularly an oil-finish) the wood can become nearly black. The grain is straight, with a very coarse texture and a low natural luster. The wood has excellent strength and hardness properties, and is also dark enough to be used as a substitute for ebony, however these trees are in dwindling supply because of deforestation and resource exploitation. Our pens are made strictly from offcuts considered too small to be useful in larger building projects.
